Get yourself out of the Deficit ASAP.

 

Reverse Dieting… oh what a fun conversation.

After a competition you must get something in to your head (unless you have another competition or something else similar planned)… Putting on some body fat is important!

You are not meant to stay stage lean long-term. The sooner you get out of the deficit the better.

A) for your health, but also

B) to make the most effective use of your time… and if you are planning to compete again, taking advantage of your “off-season”

These two pictures are taken 2 weeks apart. The one on the left is the day of my most recent competition and the right one is 2 weeks later.

Did I explode and gain tons because I didn’t slowly introduce Calories back in?

Heck no, that’s nonsense!

I have been eating Calories in a surplus and as you can visually see from the picture, there’s not a huge difference.

Callipers are trending up slowly, as they should. The weight on the scale is a few lbs up from when I competed, as expected.

Get yourself out of the deficit ASAP. Base your nutrition off of your current body composition and you won’t have any issues…
