Training Form.
Training Form.
Make sure your form is good before increasing the weight.
Form execution is very important for many many reasons.
I’m going to cover 2 here.
1) Ensuring longevity, minimizing risk of injury from the execution of the exercise.
2) Making sure you are getting what you want from the exercise.
I saw client Lisa for training and we made a tweak to her form on her lunges to help her get the most from the exercise and also protect her lower back while performing the exercise. Lisa pays very close attention to her form and keeps things in check when I tell her about them.
Attention to your form is very important. It’s far too often I see ppl loading up the weight and then their form starts to fail or they reduce their ROM because again… it’s too heavy and they haven’t been practicing the exercise with proper form from the start (FYI this isn’t the case with Lisa).
Reduce the weight, fix your form, and then start to slowly load up the bar.
Don’t Ego lift!
