Progress in the gym.

Progress In the Gym.

If you are not progressing you are staying in the same spot.

Let’s talk about progress in the gym…

How people specifically progress their training may be different from person to person dependent on what they have available to them. But, if you are not progressing your training in some sense you will not be moving forward.

If you are always lifting the same weight and doing the same amount of reps training session after training session, how in the world do you expect to progress?

Progress does not need to be huge jumps in weight or reps. Small gradual increases add up and accumulate over time.

I want to provide you with an example:

Today in the gym I did not increase the weight with my squats but I did more reps today with the same weight. The last time I completed this training session, over my 5 sets of squats I did a total of 32 reps, today I did a total of 34 reps.

This may seem small and insignificant but that couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s moving me forward and next time if I do more I will be further ahead again.

If you are not progressing you are staying in the same spot… and that’s completely fine if that Is what you are looking to achieve. If not, reassess how you are performing and progressing your training.

Small gradual increases add up and accumulate over time.
